Look For Our New Product Launch!!
ENVIRO-ZYME is pleased to announce that we will soon be selling Barley Straw and Microbe Activated Barley Straw+ on our website www.envirozyme.com. These products will be helpful for anyone who owns a decorative pond or lake. When used properly Barley Straw secretes a natural chemical during decomposition that inhibits nutrients that encourage algae growth. Since Barley Straw is all natural it has no harsh side effects on nature or aquatic animals. Without adequate control of algae your pond or lake can experience such things as odor problems, hinder drainage systems, block pumps and filters, and even cause health hazards! You might wonder what the difference between normal Barley Straw and our Microbe Activated Barley Straw+ is? That's simple! The difference is our Barley Straw is sold in "Bulk" Bales for people who already have a system in place. What you might call a "refill pack" or if you were interested in making your own small bales for your pond. Our Microbe Activated Barley Straw+, or MABS+ for short, comes already in plastic mesh tubing and includes a water soluble pouch of our all natural bacteria to enhance the effects of the Barley Straw. It is important to know how much Barley Straw you will need. To much Straw can cause a significant increase in carbon dioxide in the water, thus resulting in fish kill. To avoid this problem it is recommended that you use 2oz of straw per square feet surface area of your lake or pond. It's That Easy!!
